Creating and utilizing a goal board (or vision board) is an excellent example of a New Year’s resolution that will get you results! Use your goal board to plan your year, month,
or even day-to-day goals. The visualization will act as a daily reminder and encourage creativity.
Classifying and defining concept ideas will leave you inspired and prepared for future production meetings and proposals.
Don’t forget to include photos of design trends that inspire you, fabric swatches, and Pantone color swatches. Remember – Greenery is *IN* this year!
We all know that networkers can be tough sometimes. No one likes walking into a room full of people they don’t know. (Awkward!) But the
actuality is that networking events can serve as wonderful atmospheres to surround yourself with like-minded event professionals. If you’re new to networking, consider bringing a
friend from your industry. Sometimes it’s easier to break the ice with a buddy by your side. Just try to stay positive in order to encourage yourself.
–>It. Will. Be. Fine.<–
Once you start to feel more comfortable, try setting personal goals for yourself to speak with a handful of new faces at each event!
Wanting to stay competitive within your field is natural; however, we cannot stress enough the importance of staying true to your brand and what you represent as a company.
Too often, we as professionals have a nasty habit of stretching ourselves too thin. Honing in on the type of service you want to provide or narrowing down the type of
clientele you wish to work with can alleviate some of that headache. Don’t let “Fear of Missing Out” pressure you into taking on project’s that aren’t in line with your brand’s image.
A more concentrated understanding of the projects that YOU want to seek out will reduce some of the stress and allow your portfolio to grow with only the work that you wish to represent.
So let’s do it, everyone. Let’s make a New Year’s resolution to be true to ourselves and our company brand!
Wishing you all very successful and CHIC year!
